Our Story

Buckner Fanning School at Mission Springs (BFSMS) opened in 1998 by Reverend Dr. Buckner Fanning with the goal to provide a school with rigorous academics, small class sizes, and Christian education within a beautiful Hill-Country setting. BFSMS is grounded in faith and committed to preparing the leaders of tomorrow.   Based on the philosophy of Dr. Fanning, we focus on developing the whole child which enables all children to experience academic success and become life-long learners and contributing members of our community.

Many of our teachers have more than 20 years of experience and are all dedicated to the student’s success and happiness.  In our tenure of over 20 years, our faculty is dedicated to educating children in a nondenominational Christian environment that extends the unconditional love and grace of God while providing an exemplary educational experience.
