2nd Grade Core Unit Projects

Students research and learn about the culture and traditions of Ancient China in the classroom and the library. Some of the projects include learning Chinese writing, tastings, geography & creating dragons for a parade- photos are included. The students also study Black History Month. Another research unit focuses on Greece. In this unit, students research Greek Gods/Goddesses and memorize a God & Goddess Rap. The P.E. teacher also helps by recreating the original Olympic races and providing medals to students. Another unit is on Animal Habitats. After researching their animal, students type facts for their project and become docents presenting important facts in front of the animal habitat found at SeaWorld.
